Nonogram

How to play Nonograms

A Nonogram (also called Picross or Griddlers) is a puzzle where you use the number clues on each line to work out which cells to fill. Solve it and a picture appears — and then it comes to life.

Controls

Choose Fill and tap or drag across cells to fill them. Use Mark X for cells you know are empty so you don’t get confused. When a line matches its clues, its numbers fade. On a keyboard, press X to switch tools.

Tips for beginners

  1. Start with big numbers. If a 10-cell line has a 7, the middle 4 cells are filled whether the run starts at the left or ends at the right.
  2. Mark every cell of a line with clue 0 as X.
  3. Cells you work out in rows become clues for columns. Switch between rows and columns to keep making progress.

Every Haru Puzzle Nonogram is checked to be solvable by logic alone, with no guessing.
